- AFFIRM Reads is currently approved for NBCC and NYSED.
- ASWB approval does not currently extend to read-only or asynchronous book-based formats (approval pending). Social workers should review their state board requirements before participating.

What We Seek in Our Instructors
We are in search of dynamic presenters who embody qualities such as passion, experience, ethics, diversity, and the ability to engage and captivate learners.
Our goal is to create courses that deeply resonate with AFFIRM learners and offer practical clinical insights for therapists.
To be considered as a presenter, here are some key criteria:
1. Teaching Experience: Presenters should have a track record of facilitating formal Continuing Education trainings. We require a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience to ensure our courses maintain a high standard of quality.
2. Expertise: Presenters/interviewees should possess a post-master's level of expertise in their chosen topic. It is generally expected that presenters are licensed professionals in their respective fields, whether it be medicine, psychology, or another related area.
3. Content Quality: All courses must meet the approval requirements of Continuing Education organizations. This entails offering evidence-based content that reflects the latest scientific knowledge and emerging practice strategies and methods.
4. Course Proposal: As part of the interview/presentation process, all presenters/guests will be required to submit a Continuing Education outline/syllabus. This should include a detailed course description, clear learning objectives, and any other relevant information.

Refund Policy:
Live Courses: AFFIRM Mental Health issues refund request automatically through the Eventbrite platform for live instruction events with 24 hours’ notice. All other last-minute refund requests should be directed to CE Director at shainasiberlcsw@affirmmentalhealth.com Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 7-10 business days.
Self-Study Courses: If you are dissatisfied with our self-study courses, leading you not to being able or willing to complete the course you can request a full refund for the product by contacting lyndyg@affirmmentalhealth.com. Please note if you fully complete a course and receive your certificate of completion you may not be eligible for a refund. For special circumstances feel free to email shainasiberlcsw@affirmmentalhealth.com for consideration. Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 7-10 business days.
AFFIRM Academy Refund Policy
At AFFIRM Academy, we strive to provide high-quality educational experiences for all our participants. We understand that sometimes circumstances change and you may need to request a refund. Please review our refund policy below:

Participants are eligible for a full refund if the request is made within 14 days of purchase and no more than one course (live or self-study) has been completed.

If two or more courses (live or self-study) have been completed, participants may not be eligible for a refund.

Refund requests will be reviewed and processed within 7-10 business days.

In certain special circumstances, partial refunds or credits towards future courses may be considered at the discretion of AFFIRM Academy.
